The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The RCIA is offered to all who wish to explore the Catholic faith and deepen their commitment to following Christ. It is especially offered to those who are either unbaptised, or baptised in another Christian tradition, and who are discerning whether they wish to become full members of the Catholic Church. It is also open to those baptised Catholics who have been absent from the Church for a number of years and who desire to return to the practice of their faith.
The RCIA is a journey which we make with other seekers and members of the parish community. We meet regularly for friendly in-depth discussions. RCIA culminates with the celebration of the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist which are celebrated together at Easter (for those already Baptised in another Christian tradition, their reception into the Catholic Church is through Confirmation and Eucharist).
